Got an ability called Enkindle at level 50. Is it like an ultimate damage ability or something for the pet?

Also Garuda's attacks are instant but only the main attack has a cast. Why is it bad exactly to have it on sic if it's all instant? Does it mess with the main attack even as instant?

You can think of Enkindle as a summon's ultimate ability on a long cooldown. They're generally AoE of some nature and deal higher damage than anything else they have. Good for using on packs of mobs.

You want Garuda on Obey because she has an ability called Contagion which extends the duration of all your DoTs on a target. If you let her do what she wants, she'll likely use that move when you don't have your DoTs on the target. What you'd likely want to do is throw out buffed DoTs (Raging Strikes buffed and later on there's another buff), manually use Contagion to extend all those DoTs, and then Bane them onto all the targets so every target gets hit by extended and buffed DoTs. You can also manually use her other ability to force its use on packs of mobs so it hits them all instead of having it on cooldown because she wasted it on a single target at the end of the last fight.
