Ever wonder why this game heats up GPU's so much?

Look through the ground sometime, you'll see miles of water and waves being rendered.

WoW had this problem in beta, and made the underground nothing but white. Solved a lot of FPS issues.

And don't bother asking how i got under there, i just finished mining and walked right through a wall. It's perfectly logical why places like the Hall's of Flames have zero fps lag, it's because they're new and do not have this awful design flaw.

Furthermore, I really can't believe they would do something like this in their own game.... its quite amateur design.

Interesting... I could probably max this if it didn't do that.

This is actually a really big deal. Not properly optimizing the game engine is one thing, but designing the world in a way that uses far more resources than necessary is another, more troubling matter.

I've never had that problem,a t all. Maybe it's you?

That would explain why my gpu freaks out every time I do DoL leves in Horizon. On top of rendering two full floors and the sea below, it's also doing the sandstorm for who knows how high and far.

I hadn't thought of that.

Airships are pretty high up... so that could answer why sandstorms and rain making the fps choke to death, if it's being rendered all the way to that height... and maybe all the way down too?

Anther terrible choice by SE? Shocker.
