SE Please post this in game, there are thousands of players who don't even access the lodestone, you will end up with a super headache of thousands of people who won't know what is going on.

Maybe not everyone access to Lodestone, but everyone access to the launcher.

People need to stop ignoring the info links on the launcher. I mean some people I know don't even read the darned pop ups that open when you click 'start'. It's ridiculous, I know.
But an in game system message might help with this one

What the heck is SSL protocol anyway?

Secure socket layer, its a security protocol used in, you guessed it, secure connections. Like user account pages, banking sites, email, you name it. SSL 3 has mostly been phased out on the major stuff due to security problems though, glad to see SE is doing it as well.

Pretty much the only users that would most likely be affected are those running Windows XP or older. By default the TLS protocols are turned on in modern browsers.
