Suggestion: Cross-Server Hub
Greetings everyone, and well met!
- Ever met a bunch of really fun and awesome players in an instance, only to realize you're on different servers?
- Gotten along really well with a new friend, only to hear he/she is on another server?
- Did you meet the girl/guy of your dreams, only to find out they're not on your server?
We've all been there sometimes. That moment when you're just doing a dungeon, and then you click so well with another player during the run. You ask them what server they are on, in hope that maybe they will be on the same one you are.
[Player 1] "what server are u on? =D"
[Player 2] "shiva! ^^ you?"
[Player 1] "awww.... im on ragnarok. ;_;"
[Player 2] "noooo :<"
A scenario I've encountered far too many times, and it hurts everytime, as I'm sure some of you have too. So what if there was a semi-solution to this, other than the obvious server transfer?
THE IDEA: If possible, would anyone find the idea of a cross-server social hub interesting? Imagine a city designed to be a hub where players could socialize across servers, potentially finding old acquaintences and friends that you ran a dungeon with once. We can't all just abandon our responsibilities to server transfer, it's not always that easy. I personally think that this idea can give players an alternate solution, to help encourage cross-server relationships of all kinds!
What do you think?
