PC shutting down playing FFXIV

Hello, guys.

Here's the issue: My PC randomly will just turn off playing FFXIV and one other game, battlefield hardline, but no others.

I don't have logs (bluescreenview is blank, doesn't show any bluescreens.) and I'm unsure how to get them.

I have:
NVidia GeForce GTX 670
Intel i5-4670K
16 GB usable ram
Nothing is overclocked. My Graphics Driver is up to date. I'm NOT using DX11. Someone, help? I just want to play the game.

My friend had the same issue he fixed it by updating BIOS.. maybe try that?

So far so good from cleaning out PC fans again, but, last time I did that, it didn't help...

If cleaning the fans helped then it could be overheating, you can run a program to monitor the current temps on your system to make sure it's not simply running too hot when playing those games. If it's not overheating then it could be the PSU that's either malfunctioning or it's too weak but since cleaning the fans helped I doubt that's the issue. You can change your BIOS settings to not reboot on failure and instead bring up the bluescreen error message so you get a better idea of what's causing the problem.

Honestly this sounds 100% as your graphics card not connected correctly the first time.
A friend of me had the same once, games just shut down the PC out of nowhere when starting. Once i opened the case i noticed that while both power connectors to the card were in, 1 was not enough to hear the click and as result it didn't work.
Basically the graphics card can't handle what you trying and straight up shuts down your whole PC as a safety.
Put in the 2 connectors till you hear the click and boom, it worked as new.

Take this as someone that actually works in PC's as a job. ALWAYS check your cables first when you have issues like this. Over half of the time it's a cable issue.

No bluescreen means the CPU thermal-shutdown OR your PSU is inadequate for the CPU+GPU combination.

A CPU thermal shutdown is easy to verify because it will do it under prime95. This is likely dust accumulation or the fans are inadequate.

A PSU shutdown is harder to verify, you can probably assume it's a PSU issue if Prime95 doesn't trip the thermal shutdown, but the CPU+GPU combined does.
