My Concerns/Ideas for the Pet Glamour System
With the pet glamour system, I am most interested in seeing/using the Leviathan-egi. Leviathan has always been my favorite summon. My concern is that Ramuh, leviathan and Shiva will each be reskins for SPECIFIC current egis, rather than being able to be used over ANY existing Egi.
I'm afraid that Leviathan-Egi will be strictly a reskin for Titan-egi and not usable to reskin Garuda or Ifrit (Who I think will be reskinned by Ramuh and Shiva respectively).
If the egis can be used over ANY existing egi, it would cause a lot of confusion for other players in the SMN's party who may think "wait, what egi is our SMN actually using?" in larger content.
My hope is that they'll revamp the egi system and make it so you can reskin any egi over any other egi. With this in place, they could/would have to rename the egis as well. So for example, if you summon a Leviathan-egi reskinned over Garuda, it could be called "Leviathan-Caster-Egi" or "Leviathan-Caster". A Shiva reskinned over Titan-egi could be "Shiva-Tank-Egi" or just "Siva-Tank".
Or they could even create a symbol for each type of egi, and put that symbol before after the name "Leviathan-Egi" to indicate which egi it's glamoured over.
OR they could create a new suffix entirely. "Egi" could now just mean "caster pet", "Ogi" (just a random example) could mean "Tank Pet" and "Agi" could mean "Melee Pet".
There are several ways they could implement it, I just really hope they don't cheese out and make it strictly: Shiva is a glamour for Ifrit-egi. Leviathan is a glamour for Titan-egi. Ramuh is a glamour for Garuda-egi.
If they DO force class-distinction onto the pets, I think it should ideally include Bismarck and Ravana. So it'd be Casters: Garuda, Leviathan, Ramuh. Melee: Shiva, Ifrit, Ravana. Tank: Titan, Bismarck.
What are your thoughts?
Do you think the pet glamours will have restrictions as to which pet the new egis can be glamoured over? What methods do you think could be used to allow versatility with the pet glamour system? Do you think any of my ideas work, and if so which?
