**UI Suggestions** (pretty please) ;;

ok overall im happy with most aspects of how ff14 is developing, good job to the team on many aspects of market ward, crafting, sp gain, mp regen (wooot!) ,removal of stamina etc.

combat is so important to any game, it is so vital to be able to react fast and have a UI that is smooth, simplistic yet efficient.

a few things i would love to see

1: resizable by percentage the combat ui. it is way too big, and would love to have the option to resize by any amount i need.

2:allow more then one bar to be visible at a time, i say min of 2 with an option to show more and have the ability to lock these bars in place. scrolling between bars is totally old fashioned and unecessary in 20011 and yet another extra step that serves no purpose.

3:For the love of all Moogles out there please pleaseeee remove the tooltip panel @@. its huge!!! :eek: and interferes with the visual enjoyment of combat.

either make it optional...turn on or off...or have an option for "detailed tooltips" as they are now or "standard tooltips" where literally only the name of the spell appears above the icon..and not the entire huge panel that blocks so much of the screen now . its wayyy overkill and overwhelming.

even giving us the option to move that tooltip panel permanately to an out of the way spot would be an improvement, anything except how it is now :eek:

**the newly released vid was so beautiful, finally the feel of 11 is coming into 14 with that "fantasy look" of creatures and the featured battle shown.........mind you even in that release the huge clunky tooltip panel was smack dab in the way.**

4: tp building abilities need cd reduced by half at least.

5: casters/rangers engage range should be at least 1.5x as far as it is now.
(so my con doesnt feel like a pug who happens to be using a wand ) ^^

6: rework aoe targetting/spells, having combat bar disappear..... again...due to this is passe and really doesnt make combat smooth nor enjoyable.

my preferance would be spells are either aoe or not. make a few aoe only spells and do away with the need for the confirmation at all. currently the extra step (again) is a bit old and not well thought out.

7: allow mouse movement!! its a pc game and my mouse is totally useless Oo. its extremely common to use a mouse for movement, please add the option . i use a controller atm simply due to this fact and i would much prefer my KB . i know many posted about this before so please add it :)

8: allow keybinding of any key to any function. so so so many restrictions in ff, its sad ;(
there should be no restrictions at all.

9:chat box width needs to be shortened. its still too wide, plz allow us to resize even further.

10: changing jobs , the game should be remembering last used action bar settings and auto revert.

11: last but not least buffs should last 30min to 1 hr. no less. by the time buffs are applied and you walk 10 feet they are already half worn off. its extremely short.
-again a highly exaggerated need to reapply. 11 had it right dont be afraid to grab the things 11 did right, no one will mind belive me.

(macros are an option i realize for many aspects of ui i am mentioning but without the ability to move with mouse and the silly scrolling bar design its somewhat more effictent to use controller +ui ...hence so many tweaks mentioned) :(

-ff14 is shaping up nicely , i hope to be here for many years , i love much of it now and what it will become. its slow to happen, but very nice.
the main concerns are what i listed as i truly believe they need to streamline and tweak it quite a bit more still. other games have very smooth UI theres no reason 14 cant ^^

oh....and mail delievery plz kinda tired of geting a friend of a friend of a friend to trade gear to my own alts Oo really really overdue :mad: <-- first and only mad face, sorry. lol
