So... That Morbol...

Right, I could be completely wrong about this so sorry if I am and this is all a bit pointless but...

From what I understand/from what I've heard, there used to be a Morbol skulking about in Central Black Shroud when the game was first launched. It was then later removed when people were getting angry about it roflpwning them whenever they came across it. :rolleyes:

So, with the introduction of a stealth skill for gatherers so that they can safely navigate dangerous areas, has there been any thought into putting the Morbol back, possibly at a lower level (from what the wiki tells me it was level 70 which seems a tad extreme for a lowbie zone) or perhaps in a different location (maybe East Black Shroud where the enemies are around rank 30-40ish)? :confused:

Just wondering 'cos I like Morbols/Malboros and I wish I could see one close-up in FFXIV, since I missed my chance at launch.

I've seen free roaming morbols near the higher ranked aetheryte gates in the Black Shroud area when I was running around grabbing gates. So yeah... they should still be around.

Actually, if for some reason I were to feel I needed to gripe about them it'd be that they aren't at the same kind of scale as other FF games, they used to be huuuuuge.

Maybe SE could put in an NM version that was bigger than normal ones? :D

FF4... thank you Molbol, for I think I recall you casting Charm on Rydia, making her turn around, and unleashing Bahamut on our party for 9,999 damage. Thank you...

edit: wait, fished my memories and it turns out it was a lamia-like creature in the cave from Eblan to the Tower of Bab-il that cast charm on me. I don't remember why I was in that cave after Bahamut.

For some reason they have multiple spellings.

I always wrote it as Marlboro but that's a cigarette brand, but they're also spelled as Molbol, Morbol and Malboro.
