Yoshi-P - 3.0 and No Gathering Points

Dear Yoshi-P,

It has been requested in the past, and you have said that the Dev Team is working on getting it added so:

When will we see the Miner and Botanist gathering points added to Main Map?

I was personally expecting this with the launch of 3.0 content since it seemed like it would be an easy add to the game.

If you could please let us know an idea for when we will see it (patch update number) I would appreciate it.

PS: I really like the addition of two gathering points so we now have a total of 6. Will we see this gathering mechanic added for the 2.0 areas? We are having to go back to these areas for FC related gathering and crafting...just a thought.

I have to say Ive never felt the need to have gathering points on the main map. More over it would make two of our skills we kind of have rather redundant.

I agree I like how they have done the new node set up though. I don't see them changing the ARR set up since generally developers don't like to spend resource going back and redoing older content unless it is broken or really doesn't fit with the games evolved design. Usually they prefer to spend those resources on new content instead.

The skills could simply make the points appear on the main map briefly in the same way they do the mini map now. I actually always found it kind of strange that Lay of the Land didn't also mark your actual map in any way.

Even if it didn't show the specific nodes, it would be nice if once you've discovered/mined from them, the main map had some kind of indicator (even if a vague circle like for leves.)

So long the duration it show up on the main map is the same as on the mini map. And within a distance of 300 yalms around the character.

I don't even want to admit how many times I have plowed into Corethas's walls as a fresh 30-50 gatherer because I figured "20-something" yalms meant right in front of the damn wall. QwQ I don't even remember which job it was, but I remember falling for it every single time. >.<
