Artifact Gear

So I'm leveling blm and I just did the level 45 quests to get the AF gear, and at level 45 I was awarded the ilvl90 lvl 50 set.

If this is intended, fantastic, but how does this mean the level 45-50 set is just gone or what?

You get both, level 45 and level 50 pieces from doing it.

When you return the Quest and get rewards, you get the level 50 items, and while doing the Quest, you get level 45 items.

I wish it was retroactive.

I'm still farming the 2.4 HM dungeons for the i90 tokens to get that gear. WHM and Summoner I got when they were still mythology everything else though was skipped for the i100 pieces.

At least I won't need to do that for MNK and PLD

Ah I see. I thought it was weird that I wasn't told to go to a million different places.

And if I already did the quests I will still have to do get the tokens for them. Okay thank you.

Remember too those lvl 45 items can be stored in you armoire and later upgraded into something that is dyeable. This is how you see those dragoons running around in green, red or gold armour.

Why don't the devs also give a i110 relic weapon at the end of the 2.0 lvl 50 job quest. At this point its not worth even going for the relic and it would be nice for new lvl 50's to get a descent weapon to start there journey off right. Besides 2.x content is outdated and getting from 50 to 60 is a long dragged out process. They need better gear to get them through the lvl 50 story line faster so they can hop on the HW bandwagon. I also think the devs should condense the lvl 50 story quest as much as possible. Make it into a few long videos so they can just be done with it.

Ha, I bought all of them in myth before they move it in dungeon. I just had to farm the token for the ninja gear :D
Same for soldiery gear, enjoy for those who want it now the only way to get it is.... HUNT :D

Because it is not part of the job quests, but another quest chain. Job quests never gave you weapons.

Also, lv 50 / ilevel 115 from market board is better than lv 50 / ilevel 110, if it is only about the weapon power and not the design

also there is new job gear coming with the patch that brings us the weekly capped stones. its very very likely that this will be the new job artifact gear since its yet missing for the new classes and these stones will likely be like myth was back then.
