Will Square Enix ever allow Australian users to purchase FF14 merchandise?

Because of the way that Square Enix online stores are setup, Australian users are prevented from purchasing any game merchandise or time cards.

I would love to give SE money for the post moogle plushy, and the two carbuncle plushy, but SE actively prevents me from doing so. :mad:

Does anyone have any ideas why SE seems to be so hostile to Australian customers?

They're not. You guys got some silly laws though and I'm sure atleast one of them is the culprit.

The replies from customer support are pretty hostile too xD

but simply comes down to "Please follow our EU Facebook group" @_@ why? so we can see all the things we can't get?

We have no laws preventing the sale of Merch. (at least from SE) if something like the dead island collectors edition could be sold here so can a Moogle plushie.

It's possible that it's due to weird tax complications. Technically you're importing goods so its weird.

The NA Store doesn't ship to Australia. The links to the EU Store automatically redirects to the Australian Store where the only thing you can buy is digital downloads of games. the JP Store can only be accessed by logging in with a JP SE account. The only plushie available on Amazon.com is the original Moogle Plushie.

There is currently no way for people in Australia and other zones excluded by the regional restrictions of the 3 Official Stores to buy plushies or other merchandise without having to go through convoluted methods like having a friend living in America that you can ship something to who can then forward it to yourself doubling the shipping costs. This is so frustrating!!!!

I'm not sure if this makes you feel any better but i want to buy a t-shirt and the only sizes available on the NA store are for emaciated Japanese men.

That is frustrating. I always thought Australians could order off of the EU Store, but I just checked the delivery info and it states:

"Please Note:
Delivery is currently not available in the following countries: Australia, New Zealand"

So, yeah. Doesn't really seem fair that Australians (and New Zealanders!) can't buy from any of the SE stores.

When I couldnt order from SE's store due to the fact that I was overseas for a while. I ordered using Otaku.com. (http://otaku.com/Request+Item)

They can usually order the item from SE, then ship it to you, just fire them off an item request and they'll usually give you a quote. Its better than nothing (or sellers hiking up the price on Ebay). Good luck!
