In a game where some players walk around with millions of gil, how do they compare to Uldahs elite? Are they rich? Middle class? Mere pedestrians before Loloritos endless coffers? Inquiring minds want to know! Any indication as to how much gil some NPCs are packing?
most of them, at least the ones we saw, have voice overs so I'd say they're pretty rich.
Each quest reward you with a few thousand gil, so I think they are not that rich. and 1000 gil probably a lot to their eyes.
Considering many are buying items from players. Not a lot.
Considering how much players are TPing and that they take all the gils from the TP, they might have a lot now.
Seeing that they can't enter that exclusive Casino: Platinum Mirage in Ul'dah then I'd say not rich enough
Well Look at the cost of a L House. Then compare that to the size of the Gold Saucer.
The richest people in Eorzea are billionaires.
So yeah. Most players just aren't that wealthy.

The Mandervilles own the gold saucer.
Even the Gold Bazaar and Silver Bazaar, which have fallen on hard times, are probably still worth several hundred million gil.
