I want that as a title, seriously the best thing.
yes because we are too good to help our friends.
why be nice? unless it's to kill a god don't call me kthxbye.
Because maybe that fricking Tataru ( and not only Tataru) should have some respect for the one that vanquishes mighty foes and primals for the good of that damn Eorzea and go and fetch her stuff herself, not take advantage of him.
Yeah, you're right. Let's make it so you can just kill everyone instead, and just give someone a middle finger if they expect you to help them for exp or rewards. Then you can get a "Grimderp Toolbag" title.
Should be an option/
I imagine that I'm delivering all of my responses sarcastically (we aren't voiced after all) and rolling my eyes at NPCs when they can't see. I'm pretty sure I spit on the stuff that Tataru asked me to bring back.
Defeat primals and she can't be arsed to make me anything? Not even a scarf or gloves. Yeesh. A person (left unnamed because...spoilers) shows up and "Oooh! Have a fancy dress!. Hey warrior of light, get me stuff for that person's dress"
You call it bootlicking.
But it actually our character's biggest strength apart from the echo and blessing.
The process is simplified for the sake of the game. And i can't say every quest was met by Kall with enthusiasm; But our characters are the hand that picks up people from their problems. Throughout the thousand of little tasks we have done we have become almost legendary, known by demigods and paupers alike.
It's won us allies, fame, money, experiences that never go away.
But apart from benefitting us, it's something that's hopefully catching on from our example. We may never be good politicians, but what we are doing, is making Eorzea stronger one person at a time.
It's not bootlicking, it's being a doormat. You're right that kindness acts as an example for others, but SE took it way over the top with some of the fetch quests in ARR and HW. They even used Rowena to poke at that fact with some of her quest dialogue. I agree with acts of kindness, but they go a bit beyond that in some of their quests.
No, no and no.
