I'm just coming back to the game since HW launched and trying to decide between NIN and BRD. I know those are completely different and you can level them all and i'm sure i'll get a "play what you like" comment or two, but i'm really trying to figure out what they both bring to the table as far as groups go. I want to try and focus on one job to max to 60 before I start doing a bunch of different ones and then it takes forever. Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me.
Go nin if you want to deal high damage. Go bard if you want to siiiiiiiiiiiing~
Bards, the last i checked are not doing so well damage wise when compared to nin.
What they bring to party
Nin: High single-target DPS and a damage + debuff that your entire party can take advantage of.
Bard: Mediocre DPS but MP/TP regen. Good for speed runs or if you plan to take on Alex Savage.
Why people are still saying that MCH/bard have low dps? atm there are MCH doing +900 dps on Alex/Primals fights...

You can play and level one through MSQ and do daily roulettes with the other tho.
