I chose BRD for swift gameplay, if I wanted to cast I would have chosen a Mage.

Plain and simple....

I ask the dev team, why give us this song? You know what makes more sense? a stacking buff that became stronger the longer the BRD stood still. Not changing my abilities to cast bars, if I wanted cast bars I would have rolled a mage.

You have taken a Job that I absolutely loved and ruined it.

Please reconsider....

I thought I would have a hard time with the changes but in the end I love it. I would give it some more time.
If you think about it lore-wise an archer should have to sit still and knock back the arrow and steady it (cast time) to achieve more power...not that it matters but I really like it.

Good lord no. If you want that, go play WoW. Marksmen Hunters literally have exactly what you want and its bloody terrible there.

The cast time is fine.
Learn to play.

If you hate it so much then just turn off Minuet and keep doing crap 2.x style dps.

This kind of reaction is unwarranted. The mobility and quick rotation was a real perk for some Bards and the main reason they were drawn to the class. I don't main Bard but I was leveling the class for Heavensward until Minuet was announced.

I'm sure some hardcore raiding Bards will be delighted with Minuet but I was put off by it. Bard was a breath of fresh air when I didn't want to be an immobile cannon.

Not to incite anything here, but I doubt your suggestion would have changed the gripe here. You'd still have to stand totally still to do your max damage, and that'd still be "taking away the freedom to move".

Try Tera you want action combat and this game is very far from ever being that.

Lastly, Yoshida has personally made mention that they will review both physical ranged jobs and make any appropriate or necessary changes. It will NOT happen immediately, and there's no promises that you will even like the change. But there's already enough shouting about it. So please not here.

I have tested few times...
From my personal opinion without WM bard can atatin fair or more DPS + mobility.
With WM you can have massive burst with the combo "Raging Strikes" + "Hawk's Eye" + "Blood for Blood" + "Barrage" and followup by Empyreal Arrow.

I'm wonder what will happen if we can lower our GCB from Skill Speed & Cast Time from Spell Speed.
Could you imagine if we got castime less than 1sec and GCD less than 2sec... This could be Imba.

I think it's amazing, the amount of bards running around like idiots when there's no need has dramatically decreased.

Obviously as a fellow Bard I understand your dismay at no longer being able to run in figure eights around bosses still doing your damage and dodging mechanics, but I think that somewhere down the line SE found it just impossible to really balance Bard the way boss fights are designed.

Obviously it's still broken as Bard doesn't do damage at the moment, but SE at least has a method of balancing Bard now - they just need to up their damage. Look at it from a detached standpoint, something seems rather broken if you can run around and always do the same amount of damage no matter the mechanic, compared to all the other kinds of jobs.
