Cannot chat in Heavensward (PS4)

For some reason, I cannot chat in game right now. I am clicking on the chat box, pressing x to enter the zone where you can enter text, then pressing triangle as I'm supposed to, but nothing is happening at that point.

Other than in the chat box, my triangle button works fine, so I know it's not an issue with the controller. I can press triangle to expand chat, I can input moves on my hotbar that are assigned to triangle, but I cannot open the virtual keyboard to chat with it. This issue has been persisting for some time, usually just taking a few moments, but now it appears that it's not opening the chat box at all.

This is bad as I can't even get into hunt parties to upgrade my gear to i180 or talk to my FC members/friends. Please help.

This has happened to me a handful of times (on the PS4) and each time just restarting the game fixes it. Hope that works for you as well. :)

So far, restarting the game (and restarting the PS4) has not helped. :( Tried logging out, logging back in, then exit game, log back in. Even tried simply using the "Close Application" option and getting back in, so far noting has fixed it. Thank you for the response though!

You have to rebuild the ps4 database, this will solve your problem hopefully.
