Burden of the Father issue, bug or intended?

I made a post about this yesterday but decided to post it here as well. While tanking this I often find myself pulled in to that side room to kill an add with a dps, now of course I know this is an intended mechanic.

But yesterday in several attempts I was having an issue where as soon as I landed on the ground and started running towards the leg I'd get pulled right back in, usually within 2-3 seconds. No matter how fast the dps killed the add within, it kept happening over and over again. I know that the draw in is an intended mechanic, but there's no way it can be intended to be that fast.
