I'm curious if 8 mans or even less of 60 characters are just decimating old Coils, Final Coil included, without any effort whatsoever, or do you still need to carefully observe some mechanics?

You still need to do the mechanics, mostly.
But yeah, you can basically steamroll all of coil with some geared 60s
Almost 3-manned Twintania with a PLD, DRG, and SCH, but RNG got the better of us with the dreadknight snares. With 4 people it would have been a non-issue and total cakewalk.
Mechanics still need to be dealt with but all the more subtle nuances (tank CD management, healer MP and CD management, extreme DPS optimization, etc) are pretty much gone.
Tried a T7 run yesterday. Was a mess and we wiped twice before the party disbanded because people assumed mechanics could just be ignored/facerolled.
As of right now with the currently available gear, I can't see it happening at all.
Maybe when we're at dreadwyrm level of gear at the end of this expansion.
Edit: Thinking about it, I don't think you could solo most of coil if any due to the mechanics requiring more than one person.
Most people now and days just let snakes merge for first coil, seeing it's such a burn fest. Even well before 3.0. So I don't see it being that big a problem if just using titan egi and going ham while avoiding pads when supped up at 60. Could be just slow and tedius at best but eh, having to much fun steamrolling old dungeons for glamor pieces as a tank.
