Alexander Normal Gear Order

Since the question is bound to come up:

Week 1: Feetx2,Legsx2,Slaying Ring (Feet Done)
Week 2: Waist,Slaying Accessory,Legsx2 (Waist, Legs Done)
Week 3: Slaying Accessory, Headx2, Hands (Head Done)
Week 4: slaying/accessory,Hands, Done/Body (Hands Done plus all 4 slaying accessories)

The body is terrible and we'll have AF body within 4 weeks. (released in two weeks, and more then likely two weeks of tomes)

If you need VIT accessories just use the i180s.


Head - Turn 2 and 3
Strength +53 Vitality +54 Accuracy +47 Skill Speed +33

Chest - Turn 4
Strength +86 Vitality +87 Parry +54 Skill Speed +77

Hands - Turn 3 and 4
Strength +53 Vitality +54 Parry +47 Accuracy +33

Legs - Turn 3 and 4

I took accessory, head, and chest piece so far. Just need a piece from 2 this week now.

Wouldn't that make week 1 5 drops?

You get a free accessory for clearing.

I hope this answers my question about if all tokens drop from all 4 floors, or if they're dropped on specific floors only. That was going to take quite a while to gear up if it was.

They drop on specific floors.

Regarding the chestpiece... we don't have enough information to determine that it's a good idea to ignore it. Here's a few facts:

1. With the sole exception of Law Gear, every single Tank Chestpiece buyable with Tomes has had Parry on it.
2. In the last 2.5 raids(second coil, final coil, alex normal), the Chestpiece for Tanks has been locked behind the last fight of the raid.
3. If a piece of Blue Gear shares its look with another piece exactly with the sole difference of being dyable, it is due to an upgrade to the original undyable piece.
4. It has been stated that Alex Savage gear will be physically identical to Alex Normal gear with the differences being a higher item level and being dyable.

Here's some possible theories we can concoct due to this.

A. The Esoterics Chestpieces for all three Tanks stand a high chance of having Parry.
B. There is a possibility that Savage Alex gear will be obtained by upgrading Normal Alex gear through items obtained from the Savage fights. I feel like the "Prototype" prefix is also evidence for this, as it screams for an upgraded version that changes the prefix to indicate a finished product.
C. The Tank Chestpiece(and possibly every chestpiece) will likely be gated behind the last fight of Alex Savage.

Therefore, it's probably a good idea to get chestpiece tokens during our first two weeks here. Just in case.

Time is the consideration:

Alex Normal
Week 1: Alex Feet
Week 2: Alex Waist and Legs
Alex Hard + New Tomes
Week 3: Alex Head
Week 4: AF Body and Alex Hands

So after 4 weeks your entire left side is i190+. Assumes tome body takes 2 weeks like it has in the past.

While there are a lot of savage upgrade theories we don't know for sure how it will work. But this method will have tanks in full i190+ plus any savage gear/upgrades.

And yes the body will probably have parry it will also probably be i200 and instantly replace alex NM body.

And if you start collecting body now you won't have legs in time for Savage and legs are a very good piece. My method gives tanks the 3 best Left side Alex NM items in time for Savage plus 2 additional accessories.

Actually I'd have to disagree. . .

For a Two week plan (Savage ready min/max with little expectation of going back in normal during the lockout)

Week 1 T1 Belt, T2 Feet, T3 Head, T4 Hands
Week 2 T1 Accessory, T2 Feet, T3 Head, T4 Hands

This yields the best results if you're just holding off until esoteric. Week three it will fall behind though.

Personally I feel this is better over a three week period, (Savage ready still but requires a few extra lockouts of alexander to be better than the prior suggestion)

Week 1 T1 Feet, T2 Head, T3 Legs, T4 Legs
Week 2 T1 Feet, T2 Head, T3 Legs, T4 Legs
Week 3 T1 Waist, T2 Accessory, T3 Hands, T4 Hands

Over a four week period it ends at the same position the OP's does.

Week 4 T1 Accessory T2 Accessory

The primary advantage of this over OP's plan is over a three week period you'll get all of your left side first. Otherwise you're sacrificing VIT and DEF unnecessarily in the early weeks.

Admittedly we don't know what Savage will drop either if it's similar to sands system and both the body/legs use the same piece to upgrade as the other pieces then legs become more enticing. If Alexander body upgrades into a higher ilvl than esoteric than this going to be off because of how much STR is weighted compared to secondary's currently and you'd want to follow the five week plan.

Regardless either of the two as a tank is the ideal route if your focus is esoteric's and savage.
