DARK KNIGHT HEAVY TP PROBLEM

Hi i found this interessing problem with DRK as off tank, u cant play for more of 2 minutes.
Why? Because you run out of TP. DRK is Mp based, this mean that u must use OCD to regen it as u can to encrease DPS and tanky stuff, BUT as offtank u Have BloodWeapon, gr8 skill to regen Mp BUT this will make you run out of tp simply coz increase your Skillspeed and testing inside dungeon/raid and testing on dummy i saw i cant offtank for more of 2min/3min.
I open this post coz every class have some way to regen Tp. DRK have no way.
Dont say pheon or goad coz like i sayd all class have some whay to auto regen or selfsustain a long fight but DRK
I hope this will be fixed by givin to drk a tp regen skill or lower how tp cost like ninja

Paladins have no means of TP regen. Until HW Warriors were in the same boat. Also what fight are you burning through that much TP? In the current content (not including Alex cause it came out today) there is no reason you should be out. Both Ravana Extreme and Bismarck Extreme have plenty of downtime to allow you to get back to full.

it's all about managing and when to use blood weapon. a fire that burns twice as bright burns half as long. just gotta know when it's better to use mp rather than tp.

blood weapon boots gcd refresh a lot (like by half a second.) also paladins have stoneskin and clemency to give their tp some down time.

Both Shield Swipe and Clemency are kinda like TP regen skills, not good as invigorate or equilibrium but its better than being afk durning boss fight.

Now I'm told that Dark Knights have insanely good threat compared to Pallys and Warriors. Like Craaaazy good. So my thought on this is, why not just pile on a huge threat lead and then let your TP regen naturally while auto-attacking? I know it might feel against the grain with the current mindset of 'TANKS MUST DPS' but going balls out all the time, every time, doesn't seem viable.

Spell casting in combat is an awful idea you cannot Block or Parry while casting. And if you are in a lull and casting then both tanks are gaining TP. Shield Swipe is a small gain on TP, but a PLD will still run dry pretty fast if they are just going ham, and if they are OTing then they aren't shield swiping.

Swipe doesn't work when you're OT so that's not really relevant to OT situations. PLD ends up better off than DKR because DRK gets a very big skill speed bonus that's up often and pretty much needs to be used on CD for MP.

It's kind of funny WAR ended up with a TP boost. WAR hardly had TP problems as MT because of the Wrath-spend skills that used no TP. Now WAR has the 0-TP Abandon-spender skills and a TP boost. Even while OTing before I rarely ran into a situation where I was running dry before a melee DPS needed TP-song.

DRK's main issue, IMO, is what they bring to the OT position. They can really bring some sweet burst from Bloodweapon + DA souleaters but they burn out very quickly and the only utility as OT is the int-down. I think they probably should merge aspects of Abyssal Drain/Dark Passenger/Unleash (after all dark arts basically lets any single skill slot do two things if they want) and use the openings for TP and/or party utility.

Paladin may not have a hard TP restoration skill, but they are much more TP efficient, and can output higher damage for longer because of it.

assisting the main tank's mitigation is it's own reward.

Maybe but even when MT:ing you really want to dump that mana somewhere so mana gains from riot+gore combo doesnt go to waste, also it seems theres been some cast interruption adjustments as you need to take really big hit to face to get interrupted while casting clemency.
