Cant Commit to a company yet. Musketeer, and Arcanist weapons? Which? :/

I kind of expected the Twin Adders to get bow weapons, since the company is located within Gridania as well as the Archers Guild, but i was wrong.

I also thought The Maelstorm would get The muskets since the Musketeer guild is located at Limsa, but i could be wrong. I feel stuck since my main would be Musketeer when its finally released.

I cant commit to a company without knowing weapon allocations.

does anyone feel the same way.

Doesn't matter, crafted + materia will always be better then rare/ex items you can get from the companies. Until/unless they allow you to socket rare/ex items.

still... not telling people what weapons you get from which companies makes companies another useless waste of time in the game. The fact that companies have only certain weapons in itself will make them useless since you will never be able to switch.

Hopefully they do the smart thing and make every company have its own unique things.

Maybe not directly telling us, but at least use common sense. It's only logical to me if Addler's have archers, lancers and conjurers amongst their ranks, and therefore the appropiate weapons. Of course crafted HQ's (and materia!) and dungeon drops are gonna be always better, but at least you'd have the choice.

what if they plan to introduce more jobs/classes ? it's just stupid, wait for them to be ANNOUNCED (to be playable) first, then teased...developed...released, and THEN there will be a way to acquire their weapons/gear

just join the company you like.... it's not about gears anyway

Maybe, but the Hall of Flames has Archer stuff in stock as well...at least I think they do. That and you can do whatever company quests with members of ANY other company, so really you should just join the company that would most benefit you as things are now.

The only exclusive actions are participating in certain caravan escorts. All other quests, missions, requests, etc. are supposed to be open to other party members from different companies. A dev rep even stated that there would be rewards for doing so.


You can still do the Grand Company quests with those from other Grand Company nations. When in party if there are members from all 3 nations (3 people from different nations) with some quests there may be good things.

Except Twin Adder has THM and PUG last I checked. Flames has Archer and Maelstrom has LNC and I forget which one has CON. There appears to be no rhyme, reason, or logic behind which jobs go to which GC.

If they are putting the same class weapon within the same city, Limsa Lominsa will not have any mages, which will makes doing leves there a little bit more difficult. They are trying to spread out players, simple as that.
