Has bird healing AI been nerfed?

Or is this a glitch? I see my HP progressively decreasing from 80 to 0, and the bird's just chillin' there not doing anything. Healing Stance is turned on so it should be healing around 70% mark.

Or is there a hidden MP gauge for bird we are not aware of?

Nah man, he's waiting for you to die, so he can show off his skills by soloing whatever killed you.

I got killed by something the other day, and then got to watch my bird battle the enemy for 5 minutes. Bird won. He was all like "shame you got beaten, it wasn't really that hard for me, get gud son."

lol we tried dragonskin map without heals 1st time.. my chocobo kept the last team mate alive til map time ran out wahahaha hes a beast XD

Chocobos have always been bird brains.

i saw a guys choco tank an A rank the other day by its self, player just stood there and chucked it an heal every now and then

You're a Mini Boss. What do you need healing for?

I'm fairly certain that I discovered today that they are linked to your use of actions. I was kiting a fate boss that I was soloing for about 30 seconds waiting for my chocobo to heal me. He didn't do anything but run with me for the entire 30 seconds even though he had been healing me before. I started throwing my spear at the boss and every time I did, my chocobo would heal me.

Mine has no problem in Free Stance. it will spam Choco Regen as long as I'm losing HP.

I think the active problem is telling it which stance to use, because if you tell it to do a specific stance, it uses a subset of it's AI rules, eg "if player HP less than X%, use Choco Regen, if player and self less than X, do Choco Medica"

When it's on free stance, it will always attack your target until you lose enough HP.

Yeah, on my BRD my R7 Choco Healer keeps me at full hp no matter what. Then again, my BRD never stops shooting, and i dont run about like a turkey.

It's because on Healer AI the choco will run to you when you run. They will only heal you if they are at most at about 8-10 yalms away. More than that and they will run towards you first...

Also, Choco cure has an hidden cooldown, I think it's about a good 10 seconds.
