Can't pick NA server? Ugh!

Hubby and I just started a few days ago, bought the full game + heavensward. Bought 60 day timecards to get the recruit a friend bonuses right away, etc etc.

UGHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Why are no NA servers showing up for us?

The only option we have to pick from are the JP servers.
Are there just no NA servers with room for new characters?
If we figure out how to get on an NA server, do we get our recruit a friend things
on a new character.. even though we already used them on our characters we just made?

yes all items will be on all characters you make. Also, depending on the server you are trying to get into, try offtimes. Like Gilgamesh for example. You would want to try creating a character at like 5:00am eastern time.

You must have accidently clicked on a JP data center when you loaded the client. Elemental, Gaia and Mana are JP. You want either Primal or Aether. Chaos is EU. Good luck!
