Reasons to play

Hey all. I've been playing 14 for a while now (since a realm reborn came out) and I was enjoying it. However, due to the amount of time I was playing, my backlog of other games was rising. So, I took a break from it to play them. Before I stopped playing I had went through the process of creating a free company so I could get a house. When Heavensward came out I decided to start playing again only to find out that I got kicked out of my free company due to being inactive. It also turns out that land ownership works the same way. Now that I know this I see no reason to buy a house at all, which takes away the whole reason to play this game. So, to make a long story short, I want to know why you guys play after level 50 to see if I can find a new reason to keep playing.

Cus there is more to do after level 50? I don't get what your question is, we have a good amount of stuff to do. If you were already bored of Primals and end game dungeon farming, then you won't really see much change in the expansion past flying. =/

I think if your whole reason for wanting to play is a house, you're going to be even more disappointed when you finally get one. Aside from building your own airship, they're pretty much just static set pieces for inviting your friends over. So unless you want to play The Sims with Lalafells they don't really serve much purpose right now.

Of course, you do realise there's a whole new world after 50 right? In case you missed the news, Heavensward pushed the level cap to 60 and unlocks a whole bunch of new content. That includes new areas, new skills and three new jobs. If you find yourself repeating the old 50 content ad infinity, maybe it's time to upgrade to the expansion.

Glamour is my endgame... no joke. (I leveled LNC because I wanted a certain glamour, and I don't really like it).
I've made a lot of friends, so I like playing with them. Sometimes I feel the burn out and in those cases I just whip out my DS and play... whatever is in it. I have a huge back log too.

I also just really like the game. And the story to me is very good and I need to continue it. Need. Hate stopping in the middle.

Edit: I mean, it sucks about your house. Really. I've saved over a Harvest Moon file so I know what it's like to lose hundreds of hours of something... but if you truly want to play the game and enjoy it, just pick up the pieces and do it again.

Not that you asked, but if you can't find a reason to do something then you probably shouldn't...

We could give you a hundred reasons as to why we enjoy playing but that doesn't mean you'll feel the same way - the fact you say you have no reason to play for not having a house for me is just odd. I don't think anyone here can convince you to keep playing if that was a deal-breaker for you :/
