Glamour Improvement Suggestions

I recently made the switch from FFXI to FFXIV (I know, I'm really late to the party) and I must say the contrast of aesthetic options has blown me away. Dyes, glamours, access to an aesthetician, phials of fantasia.. I didn't think I could be happier. Until.. in my quest toward total decor-mination, I came across a couple minor irritations.

As soon as I call the aesthetician for the proper hair and makeup to match my stunning new glamour, I've changed class and gear set and I no longer match! Ain't nobody got time to constantly run back to the aesthetician. Or the gil for that matter. (Although I've been doing it anyway... :rolleyes:)

#1: This suggestion is for gear sets to save your current hair and makeup options, much like you can toggle headgear on/off and save. There is no use in wasting time and gil for something so minor and yet very important to the lovely ladies. We should have our war paint ready for battle and our eyeshadow on point with dresses and artisan gear! Are you telling me we can master all classes, but can't fix our own hair or makeup?

Suddenly I feel inadequate, lol..

#2: Multiple glamour projections. I've recently reached lv50 BTN and am working on maxing my gear to farm for Rauni Lucis. I've been extremely disappointed by the idea of using only forager's gear (as it's currently best in slot, to my knowledge) and artisan's gear for crafting. The class-exclusive gear for all these jobs is ADORABLE, and frankly, I enjoy looking the role of each class. Some ideas I wrestled with are:

• Maxing the materia melds for the class-specific gear and foregoing the forager's/artisan's sets entirely. This would leave me with a huge stat disadvantage, which is too important to ignore.

• Obtaining and melding a forager's/artisan's set for EACH of the classes to glamour their exclusive gear. This is clearly a ridiculous idea for every reason imaginable, but I will admit I put a lot of consideration into it...

As I began pondering about ways to remedy this minor (and yet EXTREMELY disheartening) problem, the only idea that made any sense was if each piece of gear could have more than one projected glamour. What if each item could have multiple *selectable* glamour projections? What if I could project my MIN, BTN, and FSH exclusive gear onto one forager's set? (Obviously the FSH projection would not be allowed or shown on BTN, etc.) Even if only 3-5 selections were allotted per item, it would be a vast improvement to the entire glamour system. I think it would entice players to collect more gear.

My mind changes multiple times per game day, lol. It would also be lovely to have a few sets for my main job without having to glamour the stat gear constantly. I'm sure many other players will agree. Players like glamour; players like options. There is too much awesome gear in Eorzea with more sure to come. Let's utilize it! :cool:
