Question regarding the Eternal bonding

Hello, so I found out that using mismatched wristlets will not only downgrade your ceremony options, but also the bonus items you receive with each plan.

Here is what it says at the support website:
"In the event both you and your partner have different promise wristlets equipped, the wristlet of lesser value (standard < gold < platinum) will take priority when making arrangements for the ceremony."

Why even give the option to mismatch wristlets, if the person who is buying the a more pricey plan is getting all the options as the person who is paying less or using the free plan. This includes all the BGM and extra color themes for the chapel, dye-able outfits and Ceremony Chocobo.

According to the wording used on their support website, it seemed that the restrictions only applied to the ceremony itself, theme colors and music. What I don't understand is why the Bonus items are also being included in this restriction.

Who in their right mind would mismatch bracelets, if you are marrying a free plan person, then might as well get a free plan as well, because you are getting nothing extra for paying for anything better than free.

This is pretty broken and it should be fixed and made where each person receives the Bonus items they are paying for.

My 2cents about this, I am kinda annoyed that I am being forced to buy a second 10$ plan (after I got one with a friend so she got her chocobo and dress) just so my husband gets his chocobo and outfit.

Also, I dont see why the support GMs ingame cant provide any information about this subject, I filled a support ticket asking if he would receive his Chocobo if we went through the ceremony and the reply was that they cannot help me with this kind of information. Again, NA support team could be better, or at least be more knowledgeable about the game and the services provided in the Mog Station.

Oh and a question for those who had the same experience, so I did the first part of the Ties that Bind quest and go to the stage where I set the date for the ceremony, after noticing the missing Eternal Passion on my husband character, I saw something wasn't right and started to google, finding some Reddit posts about similar situations, but all were past the part I am at.

Am I able to buy a second 10$ pack and re-do the quest so my husband gets his chocobo? or right now I have no other choice than finish this quest line, lose both wristlets once it is done and then have to buy another 2 wrists? if he still wants his chocobo by then.

Bump so it is visible, trying to get some assistance here on what to do since the GMs couldn't help.

SE mention it that the wedding will be downgraded to the lowest tier both couples get. That is why someone people ask to trade to make sure the other person has the same tier that you. I suppose SE still wants to keep this event (EB) for people you trust so you won't get cheat on getting one tier while the other one is getting a different one. I think you need to go thru the ceremony and then divorce before getting a new EB.

One thing that I agree with you with the miamatch being stupid. Like in DF, there should be a prompt saying that both partners don't have the same tier and if they still wish to proceed.

Well I am marrying my husband, I never thought the Bonus items would be downgraded as well.

So I decided to contact NA support chat to see if they will refund his gold wristlet so I can redo the quest once it completes on the 11th. they basically were completely useless, their words were "You got married we can't refund" I haven't exactly finished the quest yet, so he is wrong about that, anyway....

I cannot abandon the quest either because there is no abandon button for it. So after the lack of support or even wanting to understand the issue, I am trying my luck with ingame GM to see if they can abandon our Ties that Bind quest, and I can get a gold wrist then go through the quest again with 2 gold wrists.

Hopefully they can do this...

Yoshida please, do something about this, at least allow us to Abandon the quest so we can try to fix the mismatch issue ourselves, rather than be forced to go through with the ceremony and get nothing from the paid packs. Though I still think that people should be able to receive their Bonus items no matter what their partner is using, the quest NPC should check on the person wristlet, and give the items accordingly to the wrist they are wearing.

Well to my surprise (not really) the ingame GMs slapped me with some more auto replies and apologies about not being able to talk to me directly.

My first ticket:
"Hello, I was wondering if mine and my husband's "The Ties that Bind" can be Abandoned by a GM, so I can buy another Gold Wristlets and redo the quest from the beginning."

Their reply:
"Hello and thank you for your GM call.

My reply to that reply:
"Well thank you for not being of help. So GMs cannot also abandon quests? to help a player redo the quest the proper way?

I simply hate the auto replies GMs give to shut up players. The request I am making isn't anything ridiculous, there has been instances when the game came out wheer a GM could assist with abandoning or progressing a bugged quest.

Why is my request so illogical? I want to be able to redo the Ties that Bind quest with my husband, both using gold wrists so he receives his bonus items."

and their final reply:

Useless replies, I wonder if the Japanese GMs also do this to their players, or will at least show a little bit of respect and give them a proper answer, rather than post pre-made answers that do not help the player at all or answer any questions made, just to make the customer give up and stop contacting them.

I would had rather got a tell from them saying that they are not allowed with abandoning a quest if said quest is not bugged, over these lazy pre-made replies.
