Inconsistency with retainer classes and new jobs

Players who choose to play only new jobs can't have retainer at maximum level, because new jobs don't have base classes and retainers can only have a base class. And i believe every player was meant to have access to retainer at his lvl. Wasn't sure if i should post it in bugs section, pls move if so.

Game built around leveling multiple jobs has systems limited if you don't level multiple jobs.

If you want it that bad then just get your L50 those extra 10 levels?

no no, inconsistency like this might seem like nothing now but later on it will only make more problems. Also game doesn't force you so far to keep lvl'ing classes you don't want to.

They never had access to jobs only classes this didn't surprise me one bit.

You can't play "only" the new jobs. You have to level a class/job to 50 and be i90 to beat Steps of Faith and get into Ishgard to start one of the new jobs.

There's been a level cap increase since 50. ;)
