No exp while dead?

I know usually when you are dead, you still get exp for just about everything. I just did a Sohm Al run where our healer died. While the rest of us were making a dent on the final boss and I used the limit break, our smn raised the healer.... however, due to lack of cures during this time... the tank went down and soonafter so did I and the smn... the healer finished off the boss' remaining hp.... however, all 3 of us that were dead didn't get any exp credit for the boss. Is this normal for Heavensward content?

Second time I heard about this actually, it happened in a lower lvl Dungeon when I couldn't raise someone fast enough and the boss died ... Not sure why it is like this ... I wonder if it was put in because of afkers or botters.... :o

Sounds like an oversight to the changes in dungeon xp. It wasn't a big deal before when boss xp wasn't much more than a normal mob, but if this is the case it needs to be fixed.

Did Library three times before I ever saw exp on first boss.. After 2nd run and no exp, I asked if others were getting exp. I figured it was cause I was dead when it died.

I assume it's intended. Nearly every FF game to date doesn't award EXP to fallen party members.
