inventory suggestions

inventory suggestions:

1. Lets use use our alts we already pay for. with the crafting desynth limit and the 3 soul gem limit there is other uses for alts, open up mailing to our alts.

2. move some items over to the crystals tab and treat them like crystals. greens , dark matter, glamor, melding items, repair items.

3. have each retainer have an armory system same size of ours and the gear they where equipped from there.

4. craft-able upgrade bags....

I had these Ideas way back in beta if there in the game already Ill look it up.

No. The reason you can't mail to your alts is specifically to stop people from easily getting around limitations like this. If they wanted one person to be able to have all Desynths maxed and all DoH specializations, then the limits wouldn't be in place to begin with.

Now, if you want to argue against the limits as a whole...then that's a different story.

No. Retainers can't seamlessly switch classes. There is no reason for them to have an armory.

I don't see why this is needed. Or even something worthwhile. The inventory system as it is is largely fine. If it's to allow for more inventory space as the game progresses and new items are introduced, then Square already has a way of doing that - adding more free retainers - they've just chosen not to do such so far.

One thing that would ease up inventory space for me.
Adapt Diablos glamour system. When you find new gear you "learn" the appearance and can switch freely between apperances for a small fee (glamour prism).

The only big difference is that you can toss old gear once unlocked.

No, it's an anti-RMT measure. This was discussed before ARR launched (and WAY before desynthing existed). It's ridiculous too. Like most anti-RMT measures, it only really hinders legitimate players.

At the launch of HW it became a business decision too. If they allowed you to mail between alts on a server, you could pay $15/month for 16 retainers per server. Under the current system, you have to spend $24/month for half that number.

The reasons for mail restriction aside, there's now even more reason to keep it given that there are now restrictions on how much one character can master (i.e. DoH specializations). Allowing one to mail their alts would trivialize these restrictions.

The original reason for now allowing alt mailing may gave been an RMT deterrent, but I'll bet the reason now is, as you mentioned, inventory space "bloat" (meaning less money for SE) and the restrictions already put into place on a per-character basis only working so long as you're essentially stuck with resources per character.
