Endgame toxicity

Hunts aside, that's a whole other kettle of stuff..

Just looking at the party finder for the new EX Primals I've come to realize just how horrible the endgame community in this game is?

It's impossible to find a group that will even give you the time of day if it's your first time doing a fight, people just want easy mode. The whole if you die, you're out mentality is completely retarded ontop of that, these fights are a little over a week old and people are just starting to hit endgame that didn't rush to 60. (Unlike me.. /cough ) But seriously? I've beat Bismark EX once, and it was at ilvl 160, and we had no serious issues, took a couple of tries, but we did fine, now people just seem to be wanting a group to easily carry them through these primal battles? I tried one of the Ravana EX groups earlier (One with the 3 strike rule) Leader died 8 times and was probably the worst geared of everyone there.

Is this just a problem on my server? or is FFXIV endgame's community really this bad, and new-to-endgame hostile?

Nope, it's not just Balmung. This kind of attitude is all over, at least on North America's servers.

So... make your own group? I'm confused. If you don't like the group and its rules, don't join it. Simple.

It's not being Toxic, it's playign the game and wanting to get shit done. People want to clear efficiently w/ minimal issue and get the rewards. If they are so inclined to see it done then it's their right. You are staring at Party Finder after all.

Have you tried setting up a PF for those in your similar situation or looking out for those who would be inclined to help you?

Wahh farm parties won't carry me.
They aren't obligated to waste an hour of their time to teach one person looking for a quick kill, there's nothing to stop you or anyone in making a learning party.

That's not my point, I'm saying the majority of people doing endgame content seem to have this kind of mentality. FFXIV seems to be seriously bad for it, I never really noticed this issue being so prominent in other MMO communities (From the small handful I've played at least) I did start a Bismark EX 2 nights ago to help a LS mate get clear, and both the tanks that joined immediately started conspiring to change it from a clear to farm party.. :rolleyes: got the clear, after one of them left because we wiped at 10%ish a couple times.. but it kinda ruined the mood.

Except the primal names and law tomes it is nothing new

No, starting your own PF doesn't solve it, because the raging and finger pointing starts the second something goes a little wrong, even if you DO still clear it. The issue, unfortunately, is the mentality of most of the people using PF, because the sad truth of it is: anything the devs add to bring the community together just serves as a reminder of why you didn't want to deal with the community.
