I love this game but why do i want to leave ?

Hello guys, i recently resubbed to discover the new extension. The story is still awesome, as intended, the music and the new zones are so lovely, the new equipments, jobs, skills and bestiary are so awesome.

But tonight i'll hit level 60 and i have the same feeling i had when i previously quit during the 2.2. I feel like the " solo " content is totally thrown away. It's true, we have mutliple jobs, craft jobs, a bunch of vanity gears, an incredible amount of daily activities ti stay entertained but i don't feel implied in this world.
If at least the daily activities required to communicate with other players, i 'd feel so happy because we're on a MMO and not on an ORPG right ?

Yes, we have more content but the only way the game rewards me is when i just spend my time on it. Common, even the new dungeons, as well as the brutal ones ( lol, brutal ... ) they introduced are just buttons mashing. And every day, i see a bunch of people connected and ignoring you when you say hi or emote them. I guess they are too busy to make their daily things.....

Why do every MMO nowadays gives so much importance to HL content ? Damn, that's boring. I don't want to just log 1 h a day to have fun on HL and stay connected 4 more hours to make boring daily activities. I want 5 hours of fun per day, just make the game more difficult !!!! ( but i know they won't so yeah... )

This limit of 1000 caracters is just stupid, i can't even express my idea as much as i want. I'm french by the way, sorry for mistakes

Are you in a good FC, or one at all? Honestly I feel a good one can help alleviate the issues you feel, even if its just doing these things together.

Yeah, i'm did my job and found a good FC. The problem is that every player has this fast-food mentality, even if they are good players, and they just want their daily law tombstones or daily hunts and that's it. They don't care about the lore, the exploration, etc.....

Zombie-mode ON i guess :(

For someone who started in 2013, you should know editing posts allow you an unlimited amount of characters =)

Brutal is Extreme in the english client by the way.

Why so much content is high leveled focused? Welp, if people get bored at lv60, what are they gonna do? Unsub.

Leveling, seeing the main scenario quest is all dandy and fun, but the real meat in MMORPGs is endgame content.

That's why SE is pushing content updates every 2-3 months, otherwise people will get bored too fast.

A lot of people are playing on Playstation 3/4 and too lazy to type anything, they don't even say "hi" in dungeons, don't expect them to go out of their way to emote you back. The community is pretty silent and shy.

Still better than the cesspool that is /2 Tradechat in WoW >_>

I dunno, if you really want to focus so much on communicating, try joining a social linkshell and / or FC maybe?

I think this is more about the players than about the game itself. Players create the community, their own culture and their own rules. The developer already provided plenty of ways to communicate: A really beautiful story, DF, dungeons where you have no choice but to go in order to complete the story, Free company with various goodies, linkshells for hunts and chats. Even with all those, if the players want to isolate themselves, what else can we do?

In the end, if you want to find someone with mentality like yours, you have no choice but to search for them. I'm sure they are somewhere out there.

i understand your answers but my real problem is due to the difficulty of the solo content. If they raised the difficulty, people would communicate because they have to but now that we just have to mash buttons, i find i so boring.

Socializing is fun and i try to do that as much as possible but my boredom is still there when i do my daily activities.

As a PS4 player, I admit we tend to be silent. This is because typing without a keyboard is a bitch.
Even with a keyboard, it's more awkward than if you're working on a PC.
I have to put down my controller, pick up my keyboard, hit enter, wait for it to respond (Bluetooth, takes a couple of seconds), type my reply, check if my hands are positioned correctly (which they invariably aren't, since it's on my lap), delete my mistakes, and send.
It doesn't sound like much, but when you have a couch and a coffee table to work with, it suddenly feels like a big deal.

But yes, we should emote more.

Re Lore, Have you tried going to the Lore forums, and asking them if there are any Lore-centric FCs?

Isn't there a french forum area?

This has to be the quietest MMO I've ever played and I've been playing MMO's for 18 years.
