UN-able to decipher HQ maps ....

this has to be a bug can devs confirm... this has been posted many times on other forums and have not seen it addressed on this one yet... but you can not decipher HQ maps ...

whoa, HQ map seems to be a bug. Or is this actually a thing now? Does the HQ map have the option to "reduce quality" like other HQ items?

It does and that's the only way to be able to use the map

Wow... that's actually kind of funny they'd include HQ maps.

reducing quality of a map doesn't sound like it should be an option... not a viable one atm hate to do that and find out its a bad bug and its an ultra rare map ... be easier just to make it non-hq if that were the case

Question is which is the bug? The fact that you can get HQ maps at all or the fact that you can't desifer them? My guess is the former.

Yeah I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't even be able to get HQ maps. None of the pre-3.0 maps had HQ variants. I'd suggest just converting them to NQ and using them that way. SE probably just forgot to disable HQ maps on the new gathering nodes.

It's a bug that happens when fishing for maps. There's no way to get them from botany or mining just the fishing ones. It's definitely a bug.
