So I leveled GSM to 56 and making some gathering earrings just to learn that the lvl 50 Rosegold earings that are 7 lvls lower and 60ilvls lower is better than the earrings i can make. Yes it might be able to be over melded to be better but only has 1 spot for sure.
Now look at the weaving and leatherworking gathering/crafting gear and its so much better than foragers and artisan. Im just not sure what the thought process was.
As far as I can recall when I compared myself, the higher level accessories have a little better base stats compared to the level 50 accessories.
And higher meld caps.
But, as I already had level 50 accessories melded, I still hang on to them as I don't want to re-meld the higher level accessories.
They're not worse. Are you comparing HQ rose gold to NQ hardsilver?
Rose Gold gives 39 GP if NQ, 45 GP if HQ. Hardsilver gives 43 GP if NQ, 49 GP if HQ. That's not taking into account the overmelding as you said, since you can add 9 GP, 6 Perception and 6 Gathering to the hardsilver and only 8/4/4 to the rose gold.
