Fresh retail start

I've been thinking... (so have everyone here so far too) ...after I've been reading through the grips and complaints (which could be critical feed back), hasn't everyone considered whether they'd continue playing?

When the PS3 version is released and all is said and done, you'll have to start paying to play. What was logged in my mind since BETA, that everyone will have a fresh start on its global release (not like FFxi had happen).

Do you think you'll begin from the beggining and if so, will you pay to keep playing? :confused:
It's Free to Play now and we have the advantage over those who haven't bought FFxiv... if fact, we had an advantage that cost us nothing.

Think about it, will SE bump us down to Rank 1 again? Please be serious about your post, thank you!

I might, since I noticed ul'duhs starting story was different than beta, so I kind of want to roll in LL. So I may pay the extra dollar. As for its current state of me willing to pay - it is getting close [=

Yoshi already stated once that he would never hit the reset button on all the players... so I wouldn't even worry about it

They already said they wouldn't do a character wipe and if they did then I wouldn't continue to play.

Would you still pay to play if they changed our character models so they all had massive bobble heads?

Yup no need to worry. We were promised no resets.
Good thing too, I've put a lot of effort into my character at this point. A year is a lot game-time. I'd have to re-do all my lodestone stories. 99% of which are related to my character's growth and my linkshell mixed with in-game Lore. Not to mention my Right of Passage from the collector's edition is under this name.

I'm sure most of you will be playing Final Fantasy XVII online when FF XIV releases on PS3.

A full reset and start from scratch at this point. Frankly it would probably be The last mistake they ever make with the game. After the firm promise of no wipes unless unavoidable, and even then we would be placed back to a similar point with in the new system. Its on this good faith promise that we have continued to play, struggle, and hope.

If that rug were to be yanked out from under the player base any and all trust and respect the dev's and community team have garnered would be gone. And you don't voluntarily support and give money to people you do not trust.

Because of the easy content and guild leve reform, the new players wont have any trouble with progressing through the story-line and ranks then? What we are used to call easy, will they call it difficult and will you party with new adventurers?

It's easy IMO to catch up within the armorer system and some-what fun. Even crafting is fun! What reforms do you think will make the release?

I'm real glad there's no reset on characters! I really want to continue progressing and filling up my history with achievements!

They won't reset it since Yoshi-P already stated that they wouldn't.

BUT if they did, I'd quit right there and then.
