First one was that I had one of those new treasure maps, I haven't gained flying yet so I decided to check for the treasure, so I looked around for a bit and to much of my surprise it was on top of a cliff, I could not reach without flight and wasted it.


Second thing, the two zones when I am inside a party which is drav 1 and 2, so if I teleport with the person in my party they do not end up in same zone and I have to walk all the way out and switch the zone in order to be with the person or party.

I wish they would fix that second one.

Zone into dravania and end up in zone 1 while everyone is in zone 2, where like in guildwars you can click the channel and switch.

Not having to zone back and fourth.

Your second issue is due to playing on a congested server. Ultros doesn't have instanced zones, for example. Maybe the implementation of zones was a little sloppy, but it is a far cry better than the horrible congestion those servers suffered in 2.0.

The devs are monitoring the traffic on each server, and once the daily login number starts to drop, they are going to remove the instancing from the currently affected servers. So bare with it a few more weeks.

To be fair, if they were going to shard the zones, then keeping players with their party when teleporting was a SUPER obvious thing to do.

you mean you lost the timeworn map without opening the chest? or you wasted your chance to sell the map? I've let the timer expire on a map after searching for it just to see what happened(played it safe and used a low-level one back in 2.x) and I still got to keep the map itself...

Yeah map doesn't go away until you open the chest. You just have to sit on it until you unlock flying then go do it.

Instances zones are supposed to be temporary. They should be gone in a month or two as things die down. They're only there to ease server stress during launch.
