Lost Chocobo

I had my chocobo (companion) left in the stable of a Free Company. I took a month or so off from playing the game. When I returned my FC had dropped me and my chocobo went missing. When I try to call for the chocobo or check Companion it says "Unable to open the Companion interface while your chocobo is lost. Speak with a housing enthusiast to relocate your missing bird." I've since gone to a housing enthusiast a couple times and they have nothing to say about a missing bird.

Please help me get the chocobo back! Thanks.
