Wait, are you telling us you have never used it with your gladiator? If not, what kind of answer are you looking for with this question? You have either:

a. yes, it is useful for hurting the enemy; or
b. no, it is not useful I have never used it after X rank.

Are you trying to ask whether it helps tanking, or the damage it deals in comparison with other gladiator skills? Your question is so vague I could also ask:

So rather than try to elaborate on the opening post you accuse me of being a troll. Lovely. Let me put it another way. You posted a question about a skill and provided no other details as to why you are asking this question or how it relates to your game experience. Without it, your post seemed like a rant to me.You appear to expect players to reply with a wall of text that covers every possible question and scenario about using a basic skill like Red Lotus. Here is an example:

The player did not ask, "Defender: Is there any use for this at all?". In general they know what the skill is supposed to do based on the description and actual results in game, but was not sure about how the skills relates to others mentioned in the subject.

You must have used the skill with your gladiator. Why do you feel it was not useful? In relation to what other skill would you rather prefer using? Does the accuracy decrease exponentially when you use it?

when fighting bosses NM's always look for skills they are weak to.

for orge i use luminous spire right before a big battle reg so the mages can nuke him.

The question is: is it worth using red lotus with the mp cost? does it do more damage than other skills? does it give any status effect maybe?

Red Lotus does fire damage, which can be useful on the physical resistant enemies (like the crabs when they start blocking). Compared to to the other GLA attacks, I find Red lotus lacking in damage but I rarely see it miss; but that could just be me.

It's a decent WS, but nothing special. It's not really worth the MP cost and it's damage is not very notable at higher levels.

This is not entirely accurate.

Red Lotus II will strike legs and after so much damage is accumulated to that area, may (not will) bring Great Buffalo to his knees. Flashfreeze II does a much better job of this anyway, having a greater chance to auto-incapacitate a buffalo in this manner.
