AST buffs DO NOT STACK

Say you have a card in your spread(e.g arrow) and draw another (e.g balance)
If you cast both the same target the second cast will overwrite the first
Yes, even if they are different cards.

Not sure if the buff from two different AST can stack or work the same way.

Since i haven't done any serious content yet. I will admit that i use to get excited when i got the "dream". Arrow + Balance in my spread and draw then used time dilation. I feel really dumb now.

Yep only 1 AST buff from cards allowed on one person at one time. Probably been done so AST/AST combination is less than viable. No double buffing one target etc.

Neither do Healing buffs on AST. Like say double WHM can double Medica 2. Well 2 Diurnal AST can't double Aspect Helios. Same applies to Aspect Benefic as apposed to multiple WHM's being able to put their own Regens on a target. Also as far as I can tell Collective Unconscious as it is right now is very nearly useless :/

Again I guess this is to avoid double ASTs, aspected benefic and helios are allowed on a target simultaneously.

But there is no reason you cant sequence your buffs if you decide to go double AST

lol I noticed that the other day too in a boss fight. I had bole on my tank from the spread and got a balance aoe and i was like "oh crap"....=w=. Guess you kinda "have to" be in Di when there is a SCH and Noc when there is a WHM

You don't need to go Nocturnal Sect for WHM, Diurnal HoT's stack with WHM HoT's, just not other AST's. Choose your Sect based on the needs of the battle. Nocturnal Sect with SCH, on the other hand, is a big no-no. From what I hear, the shields will override each other regardless of what potency is higher.

Nothing to do with limiting viability, everything to do with SE not wanting AST/AST to be the ONLY combo because they can give +30% damage to the DPS on a short cooldown if the cards line up.
Id say its working as intended.

IMO, Regen and Medica II stacking is OP and should be limited to one Regen per target and one Medica II per target.

If they do not want to drop that particular bomb on us, Then letting this happen would be preferable:
}SCH-A casts Adloquium on Tank A for a 2000 Galvanise.
}SCH-B casts Adloquium on Tank A, refreshing the existing Galvanise to full duration and improving the Damage Nullification by 50% of the second Galvanise Effect.

Basically, Galvanising a target, through Adloq or Succor, would simply improve the existing effect. However, i would add the caveat that you can only enhance an existing Galvanise ONCE. The Effect must then wear off or be consumed by damage before you can strengthen the Galvanise again.

Naturally, such a system would be extended to include Nocturnal Sect Barriers, working in much the same way.

This would allow any combination of Healer Job to compliment one another. While naturally, having 2 different Jobs is the most optimal way, getting a DF of double AST or SCH doesn't screw you over nearly as much as it does right now.

Pretty weird for sure. I would wonder if it's a coding limitation. Like, if they allowed the regen to stack, shields would stack as well since its tied to the same skill.
