Because they hired a masochist to create 3.0 crafting contents, just look at leatherworkers, drop rate is shitty, doesn't go up to 9 like they did for 2.0, and you need 3 skins instead of 1, the items to turn the skin to leather is limited through a timer and you need even more to craft a piece of gear.
They went all crazy on crafting for no reason, meanwhile gatherer can just spam 3 star colletable and lvl in no time.
I agree the new crafting and gathering is a bit on the grindy side. I don't mind that. I do mind the low quantity of items not just pots gained from using multiple mats such as leathers like you mentioned.
Its better to just stick with crafting xpots. At lvl60 alc, theyre super easy to make plus require half the amount of mats. The gathering nodes for volcanic rock salt yield 7 with the yield +2 ability, and the mistletoe yields 5. So much more time is saved. Plus drac nq gives the same amount of a boost in stats as xpot hq lol. Se messed up big time. Hopefully they make drac pots easier to make + yield 3.
