So, about a specific sect complimenting a specific healing job.
So the idea for the most part has been to be in Nocturnal Sect if the other healer is a WHM, and Diurnal Sect of other healer is SCH, but last night I discovered something I was wondering before by using Diurnal Sect with a WHM. I did not do this on purpose as the tank pulled before I could switch to Nocturnal since we had a WHM as second heal.
But, I am under the impression that Diurnal Sect is always good regardless of what the second healer is, whereas Nocturnal Sect is not good if 2nd healer is SCH. I always like to keep Aspected Helios regen at 80%-100% up time on bosses or encounters with unavoidable party wide damage (with exceptions), and it helps tremendously. I do not put up before fight starts. I let tank get aggro and throw up Aspected Benefic on tank. Only past first part of fight when party wide damage begins do I start keeping Aspected Helios up often. You can't go wrong with nuke regen, and spawning mobs aggroing healer has never been an issue yet as long as healer and tank know what they're doing.
Everyone will probably tell me I'm wrong, but instead of this mindset...
If SCH go Diurnal Sect.
If WHM go Nocturnal Sect.
I feel it should be...
If SCH go Diurnal Sect.
If WHM go Diurnal Sect or Nocturnal Sect.
Obviously this could vary if in a static/progression group where specific Sects may be desired for specific battles due to their effect with Collective Unconscious and Aspected spells. Or even in duty finder groups as certain Sects might be better for certain battles.
