Doing leves here is a bit more annoying and slower than everywhere else as you have to run through Idyllshire every time. I find myself wondering why Idyll isn't designed like Mor Dhona was, as it seems to be the new variant of it.

There are Aetherytes in the Hinterlands.
... they're just all broken. :(

No need for one in that area since you have Iddyshire acting like a sort of Mor Dhona.
That's the point though. I can't fly out of Idyllshire, I have to walk to a zone line, and fly halfway across the zone to start. =( None of the other areas are like that. I'm mostly questioning the intention of Idyllshire being the new MD when it isn't at all designed like it was, and due to that some things are inconvenient/inconsistent due to it. If there were an Aether, it wouldn't matter very much.
That said, there is a re-building effort in the area, so maybe it'll come later?
I'm assuming they plan to build a more impressive structure than what is currently in MD. There's already more there than there was in MD when ARR launched.
Yes...all this is true and I agree with everyone....walking out of the damn place every time is a pain in the ass. Glad I am 60 now and have flying in the zone or it would be even worse...still bad though not being able to fly out of there. This will get all built up and beautiful just like Mor Dhona but I think even better. Not sure where all the broke Aetherytes are but those I assume will become active at some point also. I have seen some but cannot remember where I saw them and in which zones I saw them. Loving HW...cannot wait to see even more.
This was a design choice. In lieu with keeping Heavensward challenging, Yoshida said that there'd be fewer aetherytes so that you can't just warp everywhere.
There are so many pointless travel solutions/routes in this game where a node (resurrection, shortcut, aetheryte, whatever) is nothing but an unnecessary drop point practically right before a zone transition. Because after a loading screen, it's just fun and logical to have to take two steps straight into another zone transition to watch another loading screen.... :|
