Best classes for retainers?

Hi.
What classes do you find the best for retainers? Both MIN and BTN are great, but my FSH retainer is kind of a letdown, I'm considering rerolling it but I'm not sure to what yet.

I'm making lots of money in the expansion with the Battle class retainers. Sending them out for skins, etc... Keep the gathers, buy more retainers ^^ and hope for a cute fat cat minion D:

I expect the combat retainers to lose their effectiveness in a week or two. Remember the price of fleece? It was very cheap to get since a long time back, and I can see the same thing happening for the skins and other similar stuff. As a MIN and BTN you can always farm shards and crystals for some nice money :).

Having to level gathering classes slowly and painfully prevents me from having them as retainers.

Levequests are your friend.

Miner and botany are probably best with a third being the same as your main. Fisher is good if you are culinary desynth but if not just repeat the same as the others. I have 2 miners for example.

Actually .. gearing is your friend, for DoL retainers. What I mean by that is, get geared enough to do the Collectibles, and rake in a ton of exp every half hour or so.

Leves are a good supplement to Collectibles, but Collectibles are the way to go. At higher levels, Collectibles for Miner can be worth around 1 million exp every half hour.

Yes, but that comment sounds like that they're not even 50 yet.

Hmm. I suppose. And yea, for under 50, Leves are the way to level.

I have 2 Miners 2 Botanists 2 Fishers and 2 Arcanists.
