Meld caps

I compiled it into an easy to read table. I've confirmed maybe 75% of this to be accurate. The rest comes from what people
have told me. there are a few impossible to reach caps that I"m not entirely sure are accurate, but one of my buddies found it one of those xivdb like websites.

at probably around 90% of max meldable configuration, I have about 404 cp, 723 craft, 696 control now
so that should give a ball park of where this gear will take you to.

We probably need grade 5 materia to come even close to capping out the tools and body. Even the accessories can't be fully capped.

I was thinking the same. fortunately capping is mostly overkill at the moment.

i didn't see your thread, so what i wrote on mine i will just copy it here and delate my thread:

Since no one posted it yet i made this thread for new crafter gear meld caps.
It will be cool if people could share their information on the new gears cap.
What i noticed is that a 120 gear don't need an enormous ammount to reach cap compared to 55, these are the caps for a 120 earring i found myself:
Dragon Fang Earrings (120iL)
CP+8
Control+6
Craft+7

so since u can't meld a materia V on them (base iL must be 160) u need to sacrifice one or two point (depending on your Gil) of either Control or Craft, i personally like more CP.

Wait, if we cant meld grade 5 materia unless i160 or higher doesn't that mean no current crafting gear can use grade 5?

I would not make large investment on melds yet, Alexander will be added with new gear/ red scrip. Maybe some better gear lucis upgrades ect.

what i would do (if i knew that WW had all jewels but earrings and saved all my Leves for it and not Goldsmith...) is to meld jewels as it seems they are easy to cap. I would not throw any money on left gear yet untill red scrip are out.

The level 60 body is pretty high on the melds

Already have 18 and it's happy to accept another 6, I'm not really sure what to meld in it now though

didnt they show every class with unique looking gear in the heavensward-preview videos? This makes me believe we gonna get a new set of gear once they release the red scrips (or even before with start of the raid?). I wouldnt spend too much gil on the current items right now.
