am i the only one hoping that this item will enter into the "Key Items" tab instead of "inventory"?
i mean, alright i know we're getting another 100 inventory slots (a big improvement) but should this item really go to the inventory? surely SE has the sence to make this a KEY ITEM right?
It will probably be a key item. And if it is a regular item, it will probably go away once you use it to get issued your chocobo.

Indeed. I'd go with third party, fire and theft insurance. At least until I can afford a better quality chocobo.
