Giving that FINAL FANTASY feel

Yoshi-P has been talking alot about giving FINAL FANTASY XIV that FINAL FANTASY feel.. but I am often confused as to what will give the game that feel.

Obviously, for a FINAL FANTASY to be a FINAL FANTASY, it needs to have the core features of Chocobo's, Airships, Magick, Moogles and Monsters, but I feel that even if these were implemented it wouldn't be enough, but would be step closer to it.

To me, the story missions do add that FF feeling, but the short 30 second max Voice Cutscenes are simply not enough to engage players fully in the story that unfolds primarily because a wall of text interrupts the engagement after the HQ CS is done... I feel if there was more voice acting and HQ CS the FINAL FANTASY feeling would be there for me... after all, to me a FINAL FANTASY isn't a FINAL FANTASY without an engaging story.

So my question to you all is this, what do you feel would give XIV that FINAL FANTASY feel?

I would love to see more CS because my character is in them lol. For me to get that FF feelin even with the HQ CS is I need to feel that sense of danger. Everything in Eorzea is beautiful, gorgeous, sexy, etc. That however is the main problem for me. There needs to be some beastmen ravaging a town, scorched lands, dead bodies, graveyards, or SOMETHING! Its just TOO beautiful.

Music is a really big factor in generating the Final Fantasy feel we all know and love. Think about your favorite Final Fantasy scenes, battles, events, characters, areas, etc, and i'm sure their theme will pop into your mind. As things stand, only one dungeon has music, Mistbeard Cove...and hopefully Yoshi-P and his team along with Nobuo Uematsu can avoid what happened in FFXI: The majority of the dungeons had no music whatsoever.

Even a general dungeon theme for "non-important" dungeons would be great. Not that some areas dont benefit from just ambient noises, but the dungeons/mountain ranges/caves/towers should have a mix of the two.
