Unable to find friend on same server "Jenova"

Hello I am new to the whole FF online gaming. I am currently on my trail period in a PS4. My friend downloaded the trial on his PS3 and we both registered on the "Jenova" server world. His online name in FF online is "Master Juice". While online playing at the same time we were unable to invite each other on the game or search for each other...

But from what I read online you are suppose to be able to play across platforms...

Any help is appreciated.

I can't find any player on any server with the name Master Juice.

Are you sure that is his character name,

I found your character with no problem.

You may want to ask him again what his character name is...
