It would be nice to have a system and quest/dugeobs that allows us to recruit npcs including legendary warriors like Estinien(mr badass lol) to join up with us in a party and do missions together I like how the heavensward battles are how we fight alongside them.

Maybe a system can be in place to build relationship with them and lv them up and assign diffenrent skills to them like chobocho. I for one will like to fight aside my monk master more lol

Also retainers to should fight alongside us as well I think this move will add more value to the gameplay.

But you can restrict the usage of them so they wont replace real people maybe run some low lv dugeons with them or dugeons we done plenty of times

It would also be cool to bring them in for reinforcements for fates when noone want to help out

Like have an animation where he appears outta nowhere and say I came to help would be cool

With this you can even branch out to stuff like an assist skill like if your a dragoon and you bring Estinien to your party you can perfom something like double jump or something with a long cooldown or something when you have a good relationship with him and should your ally die the relationship will go down between them and they will most likely not aid you in your time of need

Basically you're asking for something like the 'Trust' system that was added to FFXI - which is really is as cool as it sounds. :) In that you can summon up to three copies of story npcs to help you in a battle, each one has their own unique skill and party role (tank, healer, melee dps, magic dps) and actually allow the player to effectively solo content that once required a party in the game, thus making it far easier to play now.

A version in FFXIV would probably require a lot of tinkering to get working properly though, given even our chocobo companion cannot be out when we queue for a dungeon, due to it mucking up the Duty Finder, so I don't hold out much hope seeing such a system implemented in FFXIV. It would still be awesome to have though. :)

That would be great if SE add something like XI's Trust system for XIV too.

It would especially because the story becoming real deep im really growing fond of the characters

There has been talk from the XIV devs in AI allies to participate in duties with you when you just can't find people. However, when this will happen - or if, or in what form - is a ways away yet, if it even happens.
