I was wanting to make a new character in either Balmung or Gilgamesh but they are never available and haven't been since the expansion, even at the earliest hours of the morning or any other time that I've tried for that matter. Understandable with the heavy amount of players + new expansion. My question is, when do you think they'll be open again? Any time frame?
Not sure if serious or not, your join date would suggest you probably know these 2 servers have had restrictions in place well before the expansion. With the data center and log in issues I wouldn't expect the restriction to be lifted any time in the near future. If you have your heart set on moving to those servers you could pay and transfer there to bypass the restriction.
They're closed because there's already too many people on them. Balmungians reported a queue of over 1000 last weekend, if they even got that far because of the lobby server problems.
I do feel your pain - Lamia server has been closed for most of the last week as well, and we've got a friend who has been trying to join. He's never awake at the hour the server unlocks.
