I for one had no issue with various fetch quests or aether flight unlocks

With all the negativity in other threads I thought we should have a thread for the vocal minority of us that thinks there wasn't any real issue with the way HW content quests & unlocks were implemented.

I breezed through the Moogle section with nearly no issue at all.

I actually liked how rewarding it felt to unlock flight in each zone. Just giving it to you outright would greatly shorten the game, and take away your real feeling of exploration.

Same here, it all makes sense to me and it's really not that hard or inconvenient.

I saw SO many people whining and complaining how hard and annoying the moogle quests were. I plowed right on through them pretty easily/quickly o.O

The only quests that have bugged me in this game are the leve quests where they want you to lead someone somewhere and the pacification ones. I haven't gotten far into heavensward yet but I'm sure I'll have no issues with the new quests either.

i wouldn't say i have no issue but optional is optional.

The side quests are great in that they actually force the player to explore the entire zone. Who wouldn't want to do that? They are all so stunning.

Same here. I had no issues. The moogle stuff was the same as it is in each zone. Every zone has a ton of quests for 2 levels. The 2nd level of quests unlock after completing the last story quest for the zone. Just because it was moogles handing them out didn't really make it any different. Maybe they just hated the lack of variety for quest handout NPCs that the other zones had. In example the Forelands had dragon NPCs, Gnath, and huminoid species for quest givers. But still the amount of quests and tediousness was the same.

As for flight, SE is handling it perfect. WoW got rid of flight originally because players just skipped over most stuff, so it broke immersion in the world. Now SE handles it perfectly and makes it fun. Exploring to unlock aethers currents is addictive. I can't believe there are people that do not enjoy the thrill of exploring in an RPG.

I have no problem with the Aether Currents because I think earning flying by actually traversing the zone so you appreciate it at the end is good. The fetch quests are just more and the same always will be around no point in complaining. My main issue is how poorly the in game map layout is now that they are doing so much with the Z access in most cases looking at a map is pointless (Churning Mists I hate you).

I have a problem with aether currents because they make you do it in every fucking zone.....Hey look, I unlocked flying, sweet......*progresses to the next zone for leveling* Well look at that, my mount forgot how to fly......

There's progression to unlock something and then there's stupid for the sake of stupid. Its like if ARR gave you a chocobo license but only after you have mapped out all the roads for the zone and then the new zone you're back on foot again. The entire concept of aether flows is dumb and tedious and useless once you unlock all the currents for the zone. I've unlocked two zones, both of which by the time I unlocked flying I was done with the zone and moving onto the next area. Pointless.....

I'm sorta shocked at how whiny people are about the aether currents....actually no, no I'm not, considering what this fandom is normally like. But still, disappointed. It provides context and a different POV of these enormous new areas that's different before and after you can fly through them. I feel like a lot of the people that hate the aether currents also became enraged at the broom sidequests.
