Job Suggestion: Time/Dimensional Mage

Here’s my suggestion for the Time Mage/Dimensional Mage job (TM for short).

The TM in Final Fantasy has played the role of a buffing support with access to some crazy abilities (such as Meteor and Comet). Therefore, this concept allocates TM as a healer/support class – and while I’ve really wanted to make it a DPS/Heal class (depending on stance), I’ve been convinced to keep it to one role. We’ve seen Louisoix use time magic to save the warriors of light before the Calamity, and while there’s a few abilities that have been spread across the other jobs, I still think we can fit it in.

You can find the abilities in the comments below (1000 character limit makes it difficult for these kinds of posts). Take them as you will, the names and order in which skills are learned aren’t too important to me.

Note: Channel abilities mean that the caster is unable to use other spells unless the ability is cancelled, interrupted, or finishes channeling. They can move around while the ability is channeling.

PT 1

1 - Banish (Deals unaspected damage to a single target. Additional effect: if activated by another spell, the enemy target also gains ’Slow’ debuff).
2 - Predict (Gives target a shield. After 2.5 seconds the target is healed)
4 - Condemn (Deals unspected damage to a single target. Additional effect: Target gain's a status ailment that deals damage over time. Lasts 15 seconds)
6 - Warp (Warps target back to it’s position 2.5 seconds after cast. Cannot be used on bosses)
8 - Foresight (Increases the potency of the caster’s next spell)
10 - Thaliak’s Wisdom (Stance: Increases healing potency. Decreases damage potency)
10 - Rhalgr’s Fury (Stance: Increases damage potency. Decreases healing potency)

PT 2

14 - Essence Rush (Next ability cast costs no mana. Damage reduced by 25% for 6 seconds after effect is used)
16 - Borrowed Time (Enemies standing within designated area attack slower for 10 seconds. Does not work on bosses).
20 - Rejuvenation (Caster channels an aetheric bond to a target which heals them over the duration. Cannot target self)
24 - Banish II (Single target damaging spell. Additional effect: May activate Banish, causing it to be an instant spell with no mana cost, or Banish IV, allowing for its additional effect)
28 - Quick (Dramatically increases the movement speed of the target for 2.5 seconds)
30 - Fast Forward (The caster's next non-instant spell becomes an instant spell that instantly deals damage or heals at its full extent)
34 - Rejuvenation II (Caster channels an AOE spell that heals all allies standing within it over time through out the duration)

PT 3

35 - Stop (Stops enemy target from attacking for 6 seconds. Stops damage being received by allied target for 2 seconds - Damage is taken after the 2 seconds have passed - Target deals 25% less damage for the duration of the effect)
38 - Banish III (Deals unaspected damage to targets in a cone in front of the caster. Additional effect: If activated by another ability, this spell is instant and slows enemies hit by the spell for 3 seconds)
40 - Float (Caster channels an ability to a location. For 5 seconds the designated area will give party members the 'Float' buff, which reduces the next damage taken by abilities for the next 20 seconds)
42 - Old (If used on allied target, it increases allied target's magical damage and magical defence. If used on enemy target, it decreases enemy target's physical damage and physical defence. Lasts 10 seconds)

PT 4

45 - Comet (Caster channels 4 waves of small comets upon enemies within the designated area. Additional effect: If cast with Rhalgr’s Fury in effect, each enemy hit gains a burn debuff that deals damage every second over the next 3 seconds)
48 - Rejuvenation III (Places a shield on a party member that is 6% of their maximum health, and gives the target a 'Regen’ buff that lasts 15 seconds. If the shield is removed by damage, then the 'Regen' buff is removed as well)
50 - Harken (AOE/Party effect - Allied party members gain a buff that Increases attack speed and skill speed up to 5 seconds once they have walked through the designated area.)
52 - Banish IV (Deals unaspected damage to a single target. Additional effect: If activated by another ability, spell grants mana back)
54 - Teleport (Teleport's the user a distance in the direction they are facing. Additional effect: May activate Banish III)

PT 5

56 - Althyk's Blessing (Regenerates target's mana over time for 8 seconds).
58 - Phoenix’s Ashes (Target is given the option to revive immediately after death. Resets enmity. Revives with 15% health and mana. Lasts 6 mins, cannot be used during battle.)
60 - Rewind (Puts a status effect on an allied target that ticks down from 5 seconds. After the 5 seconds have passed, the target’s HP/MP/TP are changed back to the amount they were 2 seconds before the status effect was cast - 7 seconds by the end of the timer).
